Theater

The beautiful 1923 Rococo style theater currently has 1252 seats. The Des Moines Women’s Club added the theater to hold their members and guests for entertaining and educational programs. The Club brought in an array of popular speakers including Grant Wood, Amelia Earhart, Will Rogers and Meredith Wilson. The theater is still going strong with approximately 100 events a year including comedians, rock music and the ballet.
