Hoyt and Sara were married December 25, 1855. They moved into the completed mansion in 1877. The couple had 7 children and 5 that grew to adulthood. Their names were Frank, Adeline, Helen, Charles and Arthur. Sara passed away in 1887 after a brief illness. Hoyt lived in the home until his death in 1904. The bedroom furniture and the “Madonna Della Seggiola” were donated by Don Gulick.
