landscapes, mountains, brick fences, etc. With foliage scrolls. The lips are scalloped. Finish is burnished with background of snake scale effect. Petite figurative formed finials
on lobed and leaf decorated domed lids. Wood branch form handles, bas relief leaf form terminals. Marked for Tiffany & Co, G&W, 809/3, for Grosjean and Woodward, 1852 –
1853, New York. Coffee pot inscribed “A Token of Regard/From the Operations of
the/Chicago & Rock Island Rail Road Co./John F. Henry/Their late Superintendent/Jan 1st 1856″ (10.5″ H). 39 troy ounces. Melon-shaped teapot 9″, 32 troy ounces. Creamer
8.25″ high, 14 troy ounces. Two-handled lidded sugar 7.5″ H. Two-handled lidded sugar
8″, 20 ounces. Waste bowl 4.75″ high. 5.75” diameter. 11 troy ounces. Used en suite with above, a two-handled outsized silver-plate tray. Beaded decoration on handles.
Gadroon decoration on surround. Wide scroll register on cavetto. Inscribed “A Token of…” By James Dickson & Sons, Sheffield, England, marked “D*S/PGS Sheffield 356”. On six button feet. 31″ long.
