“The House by the Sea” Painting by Elihu Vedder

The third in a series of paintings the artist did of the Umbrian countryside, Bordizhera, Italy. Signed lower left corner, “Elihu Vedder, 1872”. The painting was purchased by the DMWC in March, 1910 from an exhibit at Hoyt Sherman Place from the Moulton and Ricketts Art Loan Exhibition of Chicago.
