The painting, done in 1909 in the drawing room of the Byers’ home, “St. Helens,” Terrace Road, Des Moines, was included in the art collection given by Major Byers to the Des Moines Women’s Club.

This painting was noted in the 2022 documentary by Roy Behrens. “Cook: The Man who taught Gertrude Stein How to Drive”.
