Anna Belle was born February 28, 1924, in Collingswood, NJ, to James and Lois (Breidenbach) Reid. She married Henry P. Wonders, Jr. on September 18, 1948, at McCabe Methodist Church in Wilmington, DE They made their home in rural West Des Moines where they raised their two children. Anna Belle served as a Executive Director for the Des Moines Women’s Club at Hoyt Sherman Place for 27 years, retiring in 2003. She was a member of PEO, Questers, Victorian Society, and Des Moines Women’s Club, of which she was a former president.
